1. The Taj Mahal

2. Khajuraho Temples

Situated in Madhya Pradesh ‘Khajuraho Temples’ is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is renowned for its erotic monuments & nagara style architectural representation which constitutes around 10% of the total art displayed. Chandella ruler built these medieval temples in between 950-1050 CE. It was said that every Chandella ruler has built at least one temple during his tenure because temple building was a tradition in their dynasty. The monuments suggest a bonding of acceptance between Hindus & Jains. Expressiveness of ancient Indian art & sculptures with intricate details is the trademark of these historical masterpieces.

3. Ajanta and Ellora Caves

The caves are located in Maharashtra near Jalgaon. These astonishing monuments can be found in the middle of a hillside rock. Previously it was heavily covered by forest & rediscovered by a British officer in 1819. The amazing fact about these caves is that they were crafted by hand with the help only a hammer & chisel. There are total 34 caves at Ellora which date from 6th and 11th centuries AD, and 29 caves at Ajanta which date from 2nd century BC and 6th century AD. Ajanta caves are famous for the unique paintings & the Ellora caves are for their terrific architecture.

4. Amer Fort

Also known as Amber Fort it is one of the biggest tourist place in Rajasthan & also a famous historical place in India. Situated 11 kilometers away from the city this awesome structure is popularly known as the beauty of Jaipur. The fort was built in 16th century by Raja Man Singh. Red stones & marbles were among the key ingredients in the making of this beauty. Places like Sheesh Mahal, Sukha Mahal, Jaigarth Fort and Vijay Garh is a must see here in Amer Fort. Amer fort also includes Shila devi temple and Ganesh Pol.

5. Humayun's Tomb

Situated in Delhi, it is the tomb of a great Mughal emperor Humayun. It was built in 1572 by his widow Bega Begum. After nine years of Humayun’s death Bega Begum decided to construct a tomb for his loving memory. Mirak Mirza was the main architect of this magnificent stature. Humayun's tomb is one of the best recorded spots of India. It is incorporated in UNESCO's world heritage list in 1993. It infers Millions of guests consistently. The tomb includes graves of Bega Begum, Hamida Begum, Dara Shikoh, Shah Jahan and many more.
