1. Schönbrunn Palace

Schönbrunn Palace is the former summer residence of the imperial family. It was opened the end of the 17th century and consists of 1,441 (!) rooms. This is, probably, one of the biggest, most beautiful and most important palaces in Europe. It's green gardens, stunning Baroque architecture and royal grandness attract unbelievable number of tourists each year and make it the most visited attraction in Vienna. Nowadays the Palace holds many cultural activities, including concerts of classic music and the traditional annual The Summer Night Concert Schönbrunn. It is open for visitors daily, from 8:30 till 17:30.

2. Hofburg Palace

Hofburg is an another stunning imperial palace in Vienna. It is located in the heart of the city and nowadays part of it also serves as the official residence and workplace of the Austrian President. It was built in the 13th century, and represents the breathtaking architecture of that times and its rich decorations. Currently, Hofburg Palace is also a home for Imperial Apartments, Sisi Museum and Imperial Silver Collection. It is open daily, from 9:00 till 17:30. 3. Belvedere

Belvedere is absolutely one of the most stunning sites of Vienna! This is a historic building complex that consists of two Baroque palaces (the Upper and Lower Belvedere), the Orangery, and the Palace Stables. It was built as a summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy, and is impressive by its beauty, grand fountains, big gardens and fantastic Baroque architecture. Nowadays it houses the Belvedere Museum. It is open for visitors daily, from 9:00 till 18:00. 4. St. Stephen's Cathedral

This is one of the most incredible and stunning architectures you will see in your life. Be ready for walking around it several times, you won't be able to believe that a human could create it! 5. Kunsthistorisches Museum

People who say that museums are boring just have never been to this one! In translation, Kunsthistorisches Museum means “Museum of Art History” or, as it is also often called “Museum of Fine Arts”. It is located in the breathtaking building on Ringstraße, it is crowned with a 60-m high dome. Even if there would be no any exhibits inside, the building itself would also make a great exhibition - it is decorated with marble, gold, beautiful paintings and ornaments. However, the museums has an absolutely stunning selection of art objects, starting from old Egyptian collections.
