Doha, Qatar is an up and coming city and it's art scene is flourishing. It may be a wee bit behind compared to it's neighboring nations of Saudi, Bahrain, and the UAE, but it's surely catching up with them. If you are in the region and would like to see what the Arabs are up to with their art, drop by these 5 places - you'd actually be surprised and most likely get stunned by the architecture.

I love the Mathaf signs, the art in front of the building and even the building itself. This is no wonder why Mathaf is the centerpiece for modern Arab art in the Middle East. Their exhibitions always show contemporary artists. Though they also have artwork from the early 1840s.

So it's just apt that they have their own art gallery to showcase their students' works. And don't even think that they don't work well, you'd be amazed with what these students can do.
