"Grand Hyatt Hong Kong" is located to the south of Hong Kong Convention Centre which is on the north shore of Hong Kong Island. The nearest station is Wan Chai Station and it is about a 10-minutes walk from the hotel. It is a very convenient location as there is a university, an art centre and shops around the hotel. This large building with luxurious interior design made me feel happy to be able to stay in such a nice hotel. The range of the room is from standard to suite, and all rooms are clean and tidy. The rooms with harbour view or city view are attractive.

Hotel exterior, entrance and reception

The hotel has a strong presence because it's a glass building and we can see the reflected scenery of the surroundings on the exterior wall.

Entrance

The lobby has a big space with a large carpet in the centre and is decorated with some plants.

It was like a luxurious passenger ship with stairs in bilateral symmetry.

The front counter is spacious. There is also a member of staff to guide you outside the counter.

The meeting space is located in the corner and this makes me feel relaxed.

There is a flower shop in the lobby.

Elevator

The 30th floor is the top floor on the elevator floor button panel, but there is a Grand Club from the 30th floor and high class guest rooms from the 31st floor to the 36th floor.

There is a king size bed.

The window is from floor to ceiling, and there is a comfy sofa by the window.

The bathroom has a sink in the middle and a shower booth and a bathtub on either side.

The shower booth is large and there are two shower heads.

There is no glass wall between the bathtub and the bedroom. However, there is  a blind you can lower.

Minibar and coffee station

There is a capsule coffee machine at the desk of the guest room, and mineral water is provided.

The fridge contained alcohol and soft drinks.

Closet and safety box

There is a closet beside the entrance. There is an iron and an ironing board there.

The safety box is on the cupboard next to the closet.

Cantonese restaurant "One Harbour Road"

“One Harbour Road” is located on the 8th floor of the hotel. You can enjoy authentic Dim Sum at this Cantonese restaurant. I had a Dim Sum lunch there.

The inside of the restaurant has stairs, so there are 2 floors.

The concept of this restaurant comes from old Shanghai.

There are 11 restaurants and bars in the hotel. "Grand Cafe" offer an American style breakfast buffet. A la carte menu is available from lunch so you can use it all day.

Wide seats

The breakfast is the busiest time.

In the breakfast buffet, staff is standing in the counter and you can have freshly prepared dishes with semi order.

Japanese restaurant "Kaetsu"

There are plenty of Japanese sake.

The lobby has a high ceiling, and there is a restaurant on the 2nd floor.

"Tiffin" is a restaurant where you can enjoy buffet and afternoon tea.

The restaurant was recently renovated.

You can listen to live piano music, so you can have a meal with an elegant mood.

"Chocolatier" is a sweet shop making cakes and chocolates.

There was ice cream, too. There are also plenty of restaurants such as steakhouse, Chinese food, pool bar, champagne bar and more.

Grand Club

Grand Club is a lounge for the guests who stay in the upgraded room.

It is available for the guests who stay in all suites and club rooms.

Light snacks and alcohol are available at any time.

You can spend relaxing time in a very quiet place.

The harbour view from the lounge is great. There is a meeting room, too.

Outdoor swimming pool

There is an outdoor pool.

There are tables and chairs under an umbrella where you can have a meal.

There are deck chairs around the pool.

"The Grill" is an outdoor poolside dining. It is convenient for pool users.

There is a big playground ,too. It is great for the families with small children.

The spa is on the 11th floor of the hotel.

Beauty items are sold, too. You can spend a relaxing time in the private treatment room which has a bathroom. There is a fitness gym, too.

Area around the hotel

The nearest station from the hotel is Wan Chai station. It is a 5-minutes walk to Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, and about a 22-minutes walk to Times Square Shopping Mall. There are lots of restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel.

Ambassador Suite Room

The atmosphere of the club floor is something different from the other floors.

I will introduce the Ambassador Suite Room on the 36th floor.

A Large living room with a dining area

The bedroom is very luxurious.

There are double sinks in the gorgeous bathroom, and brand amenities are prepared.

There is a large bathtub and a shower booth.

The amenities are June Jacobs.

There is a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge and sink. Some drinks are prepared as a minibar and there is a coffee maker at the coffee station.

There are big windows which you can see the panoramic view of Victoria Harbour. It will make you feel free and relaxed.

Access

The hotel is a 35-minute drive from Hong Kong International Airport. If you use public transport, you can get to the hotel in 50 minutes with Airport Express and MTR. The nearest station is MTR Wan Chai station, and it is about a 10-minute walk.

Summary

Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is very clean and luxurious hotel. Not only entrance and lobby, but also all facilities like an outdoor swimming pool, restaurants and standard guest rooms are gorgeous. It is a little bit difficult to book a luxury hotel with a small child, but there is a big playground in this hotel and I think families with a small child can relax and enjoy their time, too. I'm sure you can spend a great time with high-quality services at the private lounge.
